Common passive ultra-high frequency solutions, 2.4G active solutions, 433M semi-active solution, etc. So what are the characteristics of these programs and how to choose?
The passive UHF solution is adopted, the hardware installation cost is high, and the label is one-time use, which is often used in marathon competitions. At present, the use of RFID technology for the physical fitness test timing and lap of medium and long-distance running mainly uses the technology of 433MHz and 2.4GHz two frequency bands; although the 2.4GHz active solution has complex and intelligent protocols (such as intelligent network and ad hoc network technology, etc.), However, due to the short signal transmission distance of the equipment, the large attenuation in the transmission process, the weak signal penetration and diffraction ability, and the sensitivity to obstructions, etc., in many cases, the signal will not be received, which will lead to missed cards. However, due to the low cost of installation , usually suitable for scenarios with less on-site interference and fewer runners; while the 433MHz semi-active solution is often used in complex on-site environments due to its strong equipment signal, long transmission distance, strong penetration and diffraction capabilities, and small transmission process attenuation. , At the same time, there are many runners, and it is used in scenes with high accuracy of timing laps.

Hardware Features
1. Anti-cheating
Each RFID card reader can be configured as an anti-cheating device, without the need for network networking, just need to set up a card reader device at the necessary point (intermediate node) to automatically write anti-cheating data to the tag to easily realize the anti-cheating function , the card reader device of the intermediate node will automatically write data to the runner’s wristband, and the timing device will automatically upload the tag data in the order of passing each lap after passing the end point. etc. cheating.
2. Anti-interference
433MHz semi-active trigger, long transmission distance, strong penetration and diffraction capabilities, less attenuation during transmission, high sensitivity, no card leakage, data error less than ±1 second, and high precision. The maximum reading rate can reach 150 per second, anti-collision and no crosstalk, and it can support 100 athletes to pass the timing point at the same time without missing cards.
3. Low power consumption
The RFID wristband tag will only send data when it enters the carpet coil trigger area. When it does not enter the carpet coil area or is in the same carpet coil area for a long time, the wristband is in a dormant state, which reduces the battery power consumption of the tag. The RFID wristband tag has a low battery alarm function, and the built-in button battery can be replaced by itself, which can be reused and reduce costs.
4. Easy to store
The mid- and long-distance running timing antenna adopts a carpet design, which is easy to roll up, light to carry, and convenient to lay. , humidity will not affect the equipment and interfere with the results of the game.
