  RFID equipment management system structure

  According to the structural definition of the Internet of Things and the actual situation in the field of equipment asset management, the intelligent shelf management solution will be divided into three layers according to functions, namely the perception layer, the network layer and the application layer. The specific system structure is shown in the following figure:

  The RFID passive anti-metal tags installed on each device on the shelf, the fixed reader and antenna group installed on the shelf, the PDA handheld, the fixed reader and antenna at the entrance and exit, and the asset loaner constitute RFID smart shelf management The system, its working principle and process are as follows:

  1. Labeling: When a new device enters, the device should first be issued a label. Using the card issuing program and asset loan device of the management client, a label can be issued to the device. The label stores the device number, and at the same time The information of the device will be written into the database server in the background.

  2. Label installation: use 3M adhesive or other fixing methods to paste the label with the code written on the surface of the device. The equipment can then be placed on the corresponding shelf.

  3. Information collection: All equipment on the shelf will be monitored in real time through the fixed reader and antenna group on the shelf. When the equipment leaves the shelf, the system will record it, and when the equipment is placed on the wrong shelf, the system will also prompt. Move the PDA near the tag of the device to be read, and the PDA will also display related device information.

  4. Device location: Use PDA to locate the device within a certain distance, enter the number or name of the device you want to find in the PDA, and then search for the device around the shelf, when the PDA finds a device that matches the device to be queried , The corresponding prompt will be issued.

  5. Loan return management: When the equipment needs to be loaned out, you can use the management client to go through the relevant procedures. After the relevant procedures are completed, the status of the equipment will be changed to loaned out, and the corresponding outsider information will be displayed. , The loan time and return time are updated to the background. When the return time is reached, the system will issue a reminder. After the equipment is returned, the relevant content will be updated.

  6. Anti-theft management: When a person passes through the entrance and exit area of the door with a device that has not gone through the loan procedures, the antenna and fixed reader installed at the door will capture the information of the device and issue an alarm. All devices entering this area will be recorded in the system.

  7. Quick inventory: The PDA can be used to quickly inventory the equipment. You only need to scan all the online devices on the shelf, and the PDA will automatically perform the inventory and generate the corresponding inventory report.
