  RFID technology-"control" Or "tracking"?

Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a wireless communication technology that can identify specific purposes and read and write related data through radio signals, without the need to establish mechanical or optical contact between the system and the specific purpose.

The radio signal is an electromagnetic field tuned to a radio frequency, which transmits data from the tag attached to the item to actively identify and track the item. Some tags can lose energy from the electromagnetic field recovered from the recognizer during identification, and do not require a battery; some tags have their own power source and can automatically recover radio waves (electromagnetic fields adjusted to radio frequencies). The label contains electronically stored information and can be identified within a few meters. Unlike the barcode, the radio frequency tag does not need to be in the field of view of the recognizer, and can also be embedded in the tracked object.

Many industries have used radio frequency identification technology. By attaching the tag to a car that is being consumed, the factory can easily track the progress of the car on the consumption line. The warehouse can track the location of the medicine. RFID tags can also be attached to domestic animals and pets to facilitate the active identification of domestic animals and pets (active identification means avoiding the use of a single identity for several domestic animals). The identification card for radio frequency identification allows employees to enter the locked part of the building, and the radio frequency response device on the car can also be used to charge free road sections and parking lots.

RFID cannot control where the object is located or where it needs to go. Generally speaking, the technology cannot control anything. It is a way to remotely identify and track objects. The RFID system can communicate with the "brain" of the autonomous object so that it can determine where it needs to go and where it cannot go. For example, place passive UHF RFID readers under self-driving cars and install passive UHF tags at main locations on city streets. The reader and antenna will get off at an intersection to read a tag, and the tag may have a serial number of 123456789. The computer on the car can look up the location and instructions of the ID number in the database, and then execute them based on these instructions. Similarly, the RFID system can locate tags that have instructions that prohibit cars from driving on a particular street, and vehicles will therefore avoid that street. However, it is the software on the car that controls the car, not the RFID system that controls the car.

Therefore, RFID, as a wireless communication technology, can read data and analyze its behavior, but it cannot control the occurrence of certain behaviors. RFID plays a role in tracking identification and detection.
