Since the passive RFID tag itself has no power supply, it must rely on the energy obtained from the radio frequency signal sent by the RFID reader, and the energy obtained by the RFID tag is only enough for the electronic tag itself, and there is no excess energy for the radio frequency signal source to work. The communication between the RFID reader and the RFID tag must be realized using passive reflection modulation technology.
The composition of the RFID reader:
The RFID reader is generally composed of a radio frequency module, a control processing module and an antenna. The radio frequency module is mainly responsible for the conversion between the radio frequency signal and the baseband signal and the modulation and demodulation of data information; the control processing module is the core of the RFID reader, mainly responsible for Responsible for communication management with platform systems and RFID tags, encoding and decoding baseband signals, executing anti-collision algorithms, encryption and decryption during data transmission, identity authentication, and control of peripherals; the function of the antenna is mainly responsible for receiving or sending. The main functions of the RFID reader:
1. Responsible for communication with RFID tags, initialize RFID tags, read and write data information in electronic tags, and manage RFID electronic tags.
2. The energy is transmitted to the passive RFID electronic tag through radio frequency. For the active electronic tag, it can also read the relevant information of the built-in battery of the RFID tag, such as electricity.
3. Responsible for the communication with the computer platform system. On the one hand, the data information read from the RFID electronic tag is transmitted to the platform, and on the other hand, the control information of the platform system is received to complete the specific application action.
4. RFID readers are easy to install and can generally be managed and controlled by application software, so they can be maintained remotely.
5. The RFID reader has strong compatibility, compatible with the most common communication protocols, and can communicate with a variety of electronic tags.
6. The RFID reader has the ability of anti-collision to identify multiple tags, can identify multiple moving electronic tags, can complete the simultaneous access of multiple tags, and has the anti-collision capability of reading information from multiple tags at the same time.
