The high-frequency reader is a radio frequency identification device used in the 13.56MHz frequency band in the HFRFID system. It receives the energy transferred from the inductive coupling of the antenna coil through the communication protocol, and automatically recognizes the object being read. Therefore, according to the communication protocol, high-frequency readers can be divided into two types: ISO14443 (A, B) readers and ISO15693 readers.
ISO14443 (A, B) readers have a short reading distance and low power usage. The maximum reading distance is 10CM. They are generally used as micro-power readers and used in close-coupled IC cards. Among them, ISO14443A is mainly used in the fields of production automation, access control and attendance, security, campus card and product anti-counterfeiting. The main application of ISO14443B is my country's second-generation ID card.
The ISO15693 reader has a long reading distance, can communicate over a long distance, and uses a large power. The general reading distance is 90CM. It is a loosely coupled IC card. It is widely used in smart manufacturing, smart retail, libraries, smart medical, Jewelry inventory, asset management and other fields.
But in addition to these two common reader-writer communication protocols, we also have a high-frequency reader-ISO18000-3 that supports multiple protocols. It redefines the physical layer of the 13.56NHz system, has an anti-collision algorithm, and can quickly read multiple tags.
The ISO18000-3 reader/writer protocol is divided into two layers: the physical layer and the label identification layer. Among them, the physical layer mainly involves issues such as RFID frequency, data encoding method, modulation format, RF envelope shape, and data rate. The tag identification layer mainly deals with various instructions for readers to read and write tags.
With the integration of the global economy, as the international standard ISO18000-3 air interface protocol, through a systematic and standardized form, the electronic tags produced by different manufacturers are identified by the readers produced by one manufacturer, making RFID technology the most basic The description of the RFID air interface standard no longer appears chaotic, and it has reached a basically orderly state, which has promoted the application of RFID technology in all walks of life.
