RFID technology was invented by Harry Stockman in 1948. His publication of "Communications Using Reflected Power" laid the theoretical foundation for radio frequency identification RFID. However, the early exploration stage of RFID technology was mainly in laboratory experimental research. It was not until 1960 that RFID was tested in the laboratory, after which the theory was funded and some application attempts were started. After 1970, RFID testing accelerated, RFID technology and product research and development were in a period of great development, and some of the earliest RFID applications appeared. From 1981 to 1990, the implementation and development of RFID began. RFID technology and products entered the commercial application stage, and applications of various scales began to appear.

From 1991 to 2000, the development of commercial applications and standards began. The standardization of RFID technology has received increasing attention, RFID products have been widely adopted, and RFID products have gradually become a part of people's lives. From 2001 to today, with the rise of the Internet of Things and the non-contact economy, rfid technology, as the underlying technology, has gradually developed towards intelligence and has become an indispensable tool for all walks of life and daily life.
